ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan Albert Khorev met a delegation led by Habib Ahmed, Honorary Consular of the Russian Federation in Lahore.
Both discussed strengthening Pak-Russian relations in various sectors, including science, culture, education, business, and technology.
They explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation, particularly emphasising the importance of exchange programmes for students and boosting tourism between the two countries. Strategies for promoting “people-to-people” contact were discussed in detail, aiming to deepen friendship and mutual understanding.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, the Russian ambassador was accompanied by Alena Kolesnikova, Chief of Education, Science and Culture, who contributed valuable insights into expanding bilateral collaborations in these fields.
The delegation comprised Prof Dr Mohammad Ashraf Nizami and senior former bureaucrat Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik.
Prof Dr Ashraf Nizami expressed optimism about the future of Pak-Russian relations, highlighting the potential for meaningful partnerships that can contribute to mutual growth and prosperity.
