Keeping It Reel

Actress Mansha Pasha has gone through some terrible times, like all of us do. Thankfully, her life now seems to be moving at a steady, happy pace. One of the reasons is she doesn’t like to get involved in too much social media goings-on. “I only watch the reels my husband and friends send me. I try not to get caught up in someone else’s business and even my own, because I feel like everything has become too toxic. No matter what you do, you’d be criticised, so why let my blood boil over it?” Good strategy, Mansha P. What kind of reels do her hubby and friends send her, though, that keep her away from toxic happenings… we wonder!
The Feroze-Journalist Spat

A press conference is called for a boxing match between social media star Rahim Pardesi and actor Feroze Khan. The actor arrives two-and-a-half hours late to the presser. When a journalist points out his late arrival and the fact that the media play a role in making showbiz celebs, he first counters by saying that the media has been writing against him for three years and, then, perhaps jokingly, says that there was no hot water at his place, which caused him to step out of the house late. As it happened, Rahim P beat Feroze K 4-1 in the bout. Feroze K needs to understand that it’s not good to be in hot water for an extended period of time.
Diddy Sues

Rapper and record producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is behind bars these days on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, which he denies. In January, NBC Universal aired a documentary through its streaming platform Peacock, titled Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy. On February 12, the rapper filed a lawsuit against NBC looking for $100m in damages for “maliciously and recklessly” airing the documentary that accused him of “numerous heinous crimes, including serial murder, rape of minors, and sex trafficking of minors” without any evidence. Hmm… so he’s in jail and was denied bail three times all without any evidence? Guess we’ll have to wait for the trial to begin in May to find out.
FAMILY TIES

Details of the attempted robbery at Saif Ali Khan’s Mumbai flat, followed by the actor’s fight with the robber that caused him severe injuries, are coming out. The Nawab of Pataudi has given an interview in which he has described the whole scene at length. No need to repeat it. What’s clear as day is that he is a brave man. The other thing that’s come out is the importance of family. According to him, the presence of his eight-year-old son in the rickshaw that took him to hospital while bleeding, comforted him. After all, family is our best, if not the only, support system.
Together, Not Together?

Rumours are rife that rapper Ye aka Kanye West and his wife, the Australian model Bianca Censori, are in the process of breaking up. However, the couple’s representative has strongly denied the claims. Rumors started to swirl immediately after Bianca C’s shocking act of turning up with Ye at the Grammys red carpet ceremony in a completely transparent dress that may as well not have existed. Then Ye got into trouble for making some ‘anti-Semitic’ remarks, sued by a woman who used to work for his company. According to the pair’s rep, however, the two are doing fine and enjoyed Valentine’s Day together. Well, after what Bianca C was asked to do at the Grammys by hubby dear, who himself is in a spot of legal bother, we’d suggest to them both to keep their shirts on.
A Visit To Look Forward To

Indian singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is one of those showbiz stars from across the border who have constantly been expressing their fondness for works of Pakistan singers and other artists. So it was natural that, during an Instagram live session, one of his admirers from our side of the border asked him whether he’d like to visit Pakistan. He replied, “Haan ji, Pakistan aa jayenge [Yes, I will come to Pakistan].” If that happens — and we think it should happen for the sake of an improved relationship between the two countries — Pakistani music lovers will definitely be going ‘ballay ballay!’
