KARACHI: Around 500 students received their degrees at the 22nd convocation of Iqra University.

Around 23 outstanding graduates across various disciplines were awarded gold medals.

The event also acknowledged outstanding achievements and contributions of faculty members who have excelled in their respective fields throughout the year, said a press release issued on Friday.

A total of eight faculty members were presented awards as ‘University Best Teacher’ and ‘University Best Researcher’.

Welcoming the guests and congratulating the graduates, Iqra University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nassar Ikram highlighted the university’s achievements.

The event was attended by Shaikh Kaiser Waheed, President Medisure Laboratories; Usman Asif, founder & CEO at Devsinc; Naveed Lakhani, chairman of Hussain Lakhani Group; board members, academicians, industry leaders and proud parents.
