COLOMBO: Pakistan and India split their singles matches in the BNP Paribas World Team Cup Wheelchair Tennis Asian Qualification event on Friday, with the decisive doubles match suspended due to rain.

Asif Abbasi of Pakistan delivered a dominant performance, defeating India’s Sathasivam

6-0, 6-0. However, India’s Karthik responded with an equally impressive 6-2, 6-0 victory over Pakistan’s Fida Hussain.

The doubles match, which would have determined the outcome of the tie, was interrupted by heavy rain with Pakistan leading 3-1. Officials halted play and postponed the remaining match.
