TAXILA: Two persons were killed while a woman was injured in motorcycle-related accidents in Attock district on Saturday, police and rescue sources said.

In the first accident, a man was killed while his wife sustained injuries when a car knocked their motorcycle on G.T. Road near Manonagar in the limits of Hassanabdal police station.

Police sources said Mohammad Arshad, a native of Hazro, along with his wife Zahida Perveen, was travelling on his motorcycle when a car recklessly driven by an unknown driver knocked them, killing Arshad on the spot and critically injuring his wife. The car driver managed to escape from the scene. The dead and injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Separately, a teenage boy lost his life when his motorcycle collided head on with a motorcycle rickshaw near Dhoke Rehan in Gharibwal area in the limits of Pindigheb police station.

Police sources said that 17-year-old Ammar was going on his motorcycle when a motorcycle rickshaw recklessly driven by an unknown driver hit him. As a result, he died on the spot. Respective police registered two separate cases and launched further investigation.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a suspect who allegedly molested an 11-year-old boy in Kamran Kalan village in the limits of Attock Saddar police station.

Mohammad Riasat reported to police that his 11-year-old nephew went to a mosque in Mohallah Kassran to offer prayers where the suspect forcefully took him to the washroom and allegedly assaulted him.

Upon returning home, he reported his ordeal to his family who took him to the police station. After the medical examination at the District Headquarters Hospital confirmed the assault, police registered a case against the suspect and sent him behind bars.
