DERA GHAZI KHAN: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has recovered stolen medicines worth millions of rupees and arrested four people.

According to a press release by the ACE, the operation took place on March 1 targeting the officials involved in the illegal sale and misappropriation of government medicines.

The ACE with the drug inspector and District Health Authority CEO, raided three locations in the district, recovered medicines and sealed the premises.

A case was initially registered at Gaddai Police Station last month on the complaint of Drug Inspector Faisal and was later transferred to the ACE. So far, four suspects, including two government employees, have been arrested and sent to judicial custody.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected.
