DADU: Rangers and police personnel escorted Hyderabad Electric Supply Company officers and workers in a joint operation conducted in the utility’s Kotri sub-division against power theft on Monday.

The Hesco team was led by SDO of Gulbahar.

The team identified and disconnected 15 illegal connections installed to use tubewells and other appliances. The connections were installed to draw electricity being supplied through the ‘B’ Feeder along Jamshoro Canal

Another Hesco team confiscated a transformer in the Allah Bachayo Shoro village over non-payment of outstanding bills of around Rs5m by consumers of the area.

Three more transformers were removed for the same reason to stop electric supply to defaulting consumers.
