SUKKUR, April 26: The Sukkur bench of the Sindh High Court has ordered the SHO Wasti Jeevan Shah of the Ghotki district to register an FIR against 1,000 policemen, including the Ghotki DPO, TPO Katcho Bhindi, SHO Katcho Bhindi, SHO Daharki and former TPO Daharki for torching houses in Shar village and looting cattle and other valuables.

The single bench consisting of Justice Faisal Arab issued these orders on Tuesday on a petition filed by Ghulam Rasool Shar through advocate Shabbir Shar.

The petitioner stated that following the killing of Wasti Jeevan Shah SHO Ghulam Nabi Mahar at the hands of bandits, police raided the Shar village and ransacked houses.

They took away with them some 2,000 cattle, valuable households, seven tractors, and torched 50 houses and standing crop of wheat over 200 acres.

He stated that the police arrested 50 innocent villagers who were later released after getting illegal gratification.

After listening to the lawyer, the court ordered SHO Wasti Jeevan Shah to register an FIR against 1,000 policemen.
