TOBA TEK SINGH: A three-year-old boy is in a critical condition after mistakenly consuming acid at his home in Syedwala locality, Faisalabad, on Wednesday.

Reports said Abubakar, son of Muhammad Pervez, was playing at home when he found acid stored in a soft drink bottle. Mistaking it for a cola, he drank it. As his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to the children’s emergency ward at Faisalabad DHQ Hospital, where doctors described his condition as serious.

RAPE: A 10-year-old boy was allegedly raped in Chak 278-JB, Dharam Kot, Gojra, on Wednesday.

According to a first information report (FIR) registered under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the suspect lured the child to a drain outside the village, where he raped him.

Nawan Lahore police have arrested the accused.

RESCUED: Punjab Highway Patrol Police (PHPP) recovered a kidnapped six-year-old girl in Gojra on Wednesday.

Reports said Meerab, daughter of Yasin from Ali Park, Gojra, was playing in the street when a man posing as a seller of the Holy Quran lured her away on a motorcycle.

Witnesses saw him heading towards Samundri Road and alerted the police.

Officials at the PHPP Painsara Road check post set up a barrier on Samundri Road. On seeing the checkpoint, the suspect threw the girl on the roadside and escaped through link roads.

The girl was reunited with her parents, and residents showered flowers on her and the rescuing officers.

Meanwhile, Gojra City police are investigating another kidnapping in Chak 370-JB, where four unidentified men allegedly abducted a 20-year-old woman in a car.

ARRESTED: Two brothers accused of killing their sister and three other family members were arrested near the Indian border in Head Sulemanki, Okara.

Ibrahim and Ismail allegedly slaughtered Ibrahim’s wife and two daughters in Jaranwala’s Chak 632-GB on March 2 and also killed their sister in Nankana Sahib, allegedly over ‘bad character’.
