ISLAMABAD: A man died when a speeding vehicle hit him at Zero Point , police said on Thursday.

Though the injured was shifted to a hospital and provided initial medical treatment, he could not survive and died after a few hours.

In another incident, a body of a man was spotted by some passersby floating in Rawal Lake.

They informed the police who shifted the body to hospital for legal proceedings and pending identification.

The police said that deceased was in his late 30s, but could not be identified as the condition of the body showed that he died some five to six days back, and it was hard to establish the cause of death by external examination.

Autopsy over the body was conducted and opinion was awaited regarding the cause of death.
