TOULOUSE: Cameroon international Frank Magri snatched a late equaliser as Toulouse held AS Monaco 1-1 in Ligue 1 on Friday.
Magri broke through after 91 minutes following a mix-up between Monaco goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki and captain Thilo Kehrer.
Adi Hutter’s side stay fourth and could lose contact with second-placed Olympique de Marseille and Nice, in third, who play Lens and Olympiaue Lyonnais this weekend. Monaco are also under threat from fifth-placed Lille, three points behind, who host Montpellier.
“It’s impossible to concede this kind of goal,” lamented Htter. “We were the better team for a long time, we should have scored this second goal. We only have one point when we should have three. It’s a huge disappointment not to have won this match. What we did in the last few minutes is impossible at this level.”
Monaco had started brightly with Takumi Minamino beating offside and making the most of a Mika Biereth cross to opening the scoring after 17 minutes.
The Principality side have yet to win away from home this year with their last victory on December 22 in the French Cup in Toulouse.
Toulouse are without a win at home in 2025 and stay eighth.
