TAXILA: Police on Monday booked 16 suspects, including four identified and 12 unidentified persons, for trashing the cantonment board officials and ransacking their official vehicle during an anti-encroachment drive against car bazaar on G.T. Road in the limits of Wah Saddar police station.

The enforcement inspector, Dilawar Khan, while lodging first investigation report (FIR), stated that he was removing encroachments during an anti-encroachment drive in the car bazaar, when as many as 16 people equipped with different weapons, attacked the anti-encroachment team and beat them.

He said the suspects also ransacked the official vehicle and blocked G.T. Road.
