KARACHI: A couple was shot dead in their house in the Afghan Camp area within the remit of the Sohrab Goth police station on Wednesday, police said.
They said that a lone armed man entered the house and opened fire, killing Mohammed Azam, 50, and his wife, Gul Bibi, 40.
The bodies were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Doctors said both the victims, who originally hailed from Afghanisation, suffered bullet wounds in their heads.
Area SHO Sohail Khaskheli said that Azam worked at a garments factory. His first wife with six children lived in Afghanistan. He had married Gul Bibi around three years ago.
The officer suspected some personal enmity behind the double murder.

Steel Town SHO Alan Abbasi said that the robbers made the staff hostage at gunpoint, snatched cash, cell phones and weapons from two guards.
