MUZAFFARGARH: Police have arrested a man in Sargodha accused of killing a shopkeeper during a robbery in Khangarh.

A few days ago, young man Imtiaz was shot dead in Mondka while returning home after closing his shop.

Khangarh police registered a case and launched an investigation. Using modern technology, the police tracked down the suspect, Rashid Qureshi.

According to officials, after the crime, Qureshi fled across the Indus River by boat and took refuge in Rajanpur. When police raided his hideout, he escaped. First, he headed to Jhelum and later to Sargodha. A team led by SHO Khangarh Police Zarif Khan arrested him in Sargodha.

The suspect is now in custody, and further investigation is ongoing. The police said that the suspect opened fire on the victim during the robbery.
