TAXILA: The Attock district administration on Saturday vowed to ensure national action plan implemented in its letter and spirit in the jurisdiction of inter-provincial bordering district.

This commitment was made in the special meeting of district coordination committee (DCC) which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza which was also attended by district police officer, additional deputy commissioner (General) Aneel Saeed, and senior officers of law enforcement agencies including heads of various provincial departments of the district.

The deputy commissioner Rao Atif Raza directed all the relevant officers to check smuggling, crack down on illegal filling stations, check baseless news on social media, price control, establishment of check posts, registration of religious institutions, mosques, departure of afghan people, non-custom paid vehicles, crackdown on beggars besides communicating positive message to the youth and activate them in the socio-economic development programs of the nation .

The participants also decided to hold the meeting of the district coordination committee every month.

Addressing the meeting, the DC stated that the federal and provincial governments have formed district-level coordination committees under the leadership of deputy commissioners to ensure the implementation of the National Action Plan.

He said that the committee includes officials from police, excise, intelligence agencies, food, agriculture, energy, labour, social welfare, women development, Auqaf, and other law enforcement agencies.

He emphasised that the main objective of the committee is to take action against illegal petrol pumps, business units, agencies, and drug dealers, as well as to prevent electricity theft and the sale of non-custom paid goods.

Additionally, steps will be taken to ensure the registration of religious seminaries.

He announced that the committee will meet every month to review the actions taken and submit reports to the federal and provincial apex committees.

He urged all committee members to expedite their operations in line with the instructions of the provincial apex committee to ensure effective implementation.
