M A N S E H R A : Residents have criticised the Peshawar Electric Supply Company over power cuts here during the fasting month of Ramazan.

`Pesco is subjecting us to the suspension of electric supply during fasting hours to our trouble, resident Saddagat Ali Swati told reporters.

He said power outages were reported in Upper and Lower Channia, King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Abbottabad Road and surrounding areas.

The resident said he and other locals regularly paid power bills but still, they`re subjected to power cuts, even during the fasting month,` he said.

Resident Mohammad Waheed said the federal government had promised smooth electric supply during Ramazan but Mansehra and its adjoining areas witnessed power outages.

He complained that Pesco suspended power supply even during Sehar and Iftar hours, to the trouble of residents.

The residents demanded an immediate end to loadshedding during Ramazan.
