LAHORE: Foreign diplomats, politicians and scholars have raised their joint voice against all faces of terrorism sabotaging Pakistan’s security and sovereignty and resolved to stay united with all pillars of state as well as people of Pakistan to help the country eradicate the menace once for all.

Federal minister Talha Barki, Consul General of Turkey Durmas Bastag, Consul General of Iran Mehr Mowahid Far, Acting Consul General of China Mr Cao, Political Officer of China Mr Fan, Political Officer of Japan Mochi Zuki, Khana Farhang of Iran director general Masoudi, Cultural Counselor of France Fabrice, LDA Vice-Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, MPA Malik Riaz and Punjab University Professors and Lecturers Association President Dr Amjad Magsi appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani Army, parliamentarians and civil society in the efforts to eradicate terrorism.

At an Iftar dinner hosted by senior PML-N leader Muhammad Mehdi on Sunday, they said in unequivocal words that they stand by Pakistan in the war against extremism and terrorism.

They urged the international community to provide all possible support to Pakistan at this critical stage. Mr Mehdi, also a foreign affairs analyst, stressed that to win the war against terrorism, it is necessary to forge harmony, unity and clarity of purpose among all institutions and people.

He urged all stakeholders to rise above their personal interests and unite against terrorism so the country could attain peace and stability and transfer it to future generations.
