KOHAT: The Divisional Headquarters Hospital here will have modern CT scan and MRI machines, which will help improve the patient care.

MPA Shafi Jan, who chairs the district development advisory committee, said the provision of modern equipment would help make the patient evaluation process faster and more efficient.

He said the forum had also approved making the three main bazaars of the city a ‘model’ by rehabilitating footpaths and roads.

“Work on rehabilitation of the bazaars would start soon, which would contribute to promoting the local economy and business activities,” he said.

He made these remarks while talking to traders during a visit to bazaars along with MNA Shehryar Afridi, according to a statement issued here on Monday.

The DDAC chairman maintained that the Safe City Project had also been approved to make Kohat a secure city.

He termed the safe city cameras as an important measure for public safety, and said that it would not only help in controlling the crimes but also increase the sense of security among the citizens.

Mr Jan stressed that all these measures were crucial for the development of Kohat and welfare of its people.

DONATIONS: The United Ulema Council, Kohat division, sent Rs71.8 million cash to Palestinian war victims through Gaza relief fund donated by the people of Kohat.

In-charge of the fund-raising unit of the council, Mufti Rizwan said that the fund-raising would continue until the last family had been settled, provided food, and hospitals were provided with medicines.

He said that the money was collected every Friday, and the amount had been raised over the last two months by the people of Kohat for their immense love for the residents of Gaza.

He appealed to the philanthropists to donate generously according to their ability for their oppressed Palestinian brothers, sisters and children.
