RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi on Tuesday caught three students red-handed while cheating during the annual SSC-II examinations and suspended the invigilator for violating the examination standard operating procedures.

According to a BISE Rawalpindi spokesman, the three candidates, including a regular and two private students were caught at the Government High School Dalwal Chau Syedan Shah examination centre in Chakwal.

He alleged that they were caught with the help of online monitoring cameras. Teams were immediately sent to these centres and a use of unfair means case was registered against them and sent to the board office. The spokesperson said that BISE Chairman Muhammad Adnan Khan visited various examination centres and inspected the process.

To maintain transparency during the examinations and prevent cheating, the examination board has introduced Student Live Verification System in 2023. “This system is now fully implemented in all examination centres of the Rawalpindi division. Through real-time verification, we ensure that only genuine candidates appear in the examinations, eliminating unfair practices and maintaining transparency in the process,” he said.

Based on the camera recording at Government Boys High School Ghor Ghishti, Attock and Government Girls High School Ghor Ghishti, he said that the invigilators were found guilty of violating the examination SOPs. They were was immediately dismissed from examination duty.
