NAWABSHAH, April 28: Residents of Punhal Khan Chandio village observed a token hunger strike outside the press club on Friday in protest against disappearance of a boy.

They said that the boy, Ameer Ali Khaskheli, was employee of Wali Mohammad Chandio, Sajjad Chandio and Siraj Chandio in Nawabshah.

They said that when he did not return on Eidul Azha, they became worried and asked the Chandios about him.

They said that they had sent the boy to Karachi for some work.

Later, they said the Chandios had told them that Ameer had run away after stealing some articles from their home.

They said that they approached City TPO Aijaz Tareen who told them that police would ensure justice to them.
