LAHORE: Two Pakistanis have launched AccessEd PK, an initiative aimed at providing free counseling and mentorship to 100 college students of the country.

The initiative’s website, accessed.org.pk, went live two days ago (on March 19) for students who may not afford private counseling.

Recognising the deeply entrenched structural and socioeconomic barriers that impede Pakistani students’ access to higher education, AccessEd PK is launched by human rights lawyer Noorzadeh Salman Raja and educationist Jasir Shahbaz, to offer high-quality college

counselling and mentorship to Pakistani students who may not have access to it free of cost.

This year, AccessEd PK is offering free counselling to 100 Pakistani students applying for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the 2025-26 application cycle to different universities in Pakistan and abroad.

Students can register before May 15, in order to be considered for this mentorship programme.

AccessEd PK has a global network of more than 100 mentors from the world’s top universities, including Oxbridge, Stanford, LUMS and the Ivy League institutions. Many of them have also been recipients of prestigious scholarships, including Fulbright, Chevening, Rhodes, Commonwealth and Erasmus Mundus.

They offer in-depth guidance and advice on university and scholarship applications to Pakistani students.
