Tennis team to depart today

ISLAMABAD, April 28: Pakistan tennis team is due to leave for Malaysia on Saturday to take part in a tournament starting from May 1. Fazle Subhan will accompany the team as coach.

Players attending the junior Davis Cup camp at the PTF Complex were encouraged on Friday by Pakistan tennis chief Dilawar Abbas’s surprise visit to the camp.

Players, including Khurrum Nazir, Ahmed Aslam and Nasir Mushtaq, were asked by Mr Abbas to work hard and stay focused on the job.

Coach Subhan told Dawn that the players were in fine shape and he expected them to do well in Malaysia.
