Tom Cruise breathed carbon dioxide in MI-8 scene

Tom Cruise revealed that he breathed in his own carbon dioxide while filming a dangerous underwater scene for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
In an interview, Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie detailed the intense sequence, where Ethan Hunt dives into the wreckage of the Sevastopol submarine. Filmed in an 8.5 million-litre water tank, Cruise wore a specially designed suit that could only be used for 10 minutes before causing hypoxia.
“You have to overcome all of that while being present,” Cruise said. McQuarrie emphasised the challenge of keeping Cruise safe while ensuring the scene looked as chaotic as possible. Mission: Impossible 8, directed by McQuarrie, hits theatres on May 23, 2025.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians will have more action

Walker Scobell teases more action and a ‘happier’ Percy in Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. The new season, adapting The Sea of Monsters, will start slightly differently to account for the cast’s growth.
Scobell shared that the stakes are higher, with more action and fewer pauses, making the season feel more fast-paced. The series also introduces new characters, including Daniel Diemer as Tyson, Andra Day as Athena and Kristen Schaal as Tempest.
Season 2 recently wrapped filming and is set to premiere on Disney+.
