The NWFP Governor … was given a big ovation by tribal Pathans of North Waziristan. They showered flowers on his car, fired rifle shots in the air and shouted “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Islam Zindabad”.
Replying to an address of welcome presented by Malik Habibullah Khan Torikhel … the Governor said, “In your address you have rightly said that it was the great desire of the late Quaid-i-Azam to see that the germs of sectarianism should be eliminated from the body politic of Pakistan. Islam abhors sectarianism and teaches unity and brotherhood”.
