LAHORE: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Monday issued forecast for a new rain spell from March 25 to 27 in different parts of the province.

According to the Met Office, there is rain forecast in most districts of the province from March 25 to 27.

Rain and snowfall are predicted in other mountainous areas, including Murree and Galiyat. Rain is likely in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad and Toba Tek Singh.

Clouds will also fall in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Layyah, Bhakkar, Sahiwal and Pakpattan.

PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia said an alert had been issued to the administration and rescue agencies across the province regarding the expected rain.

He requested the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel in bad weather conditions and call the PDMA helpline 1129 in case of emergency.
