BAJAUR: Authorities on Wednesday finalised a security plan for Eidul Fitr here to prevent any untoward incident.
The plan, meant to maintain the law and order situation before and during Eid days, was approved during a meeting chaired by deputy commissioner Shahid Ali at his office here, according to an official statement.
District police officer Waqas Rafique, additional deputy commissioner Ali Raza, Khar tehsil municipal administrator, district emergency officer of Rescue 1122, also attended the meeting.
Deputy commissioner Shahid Ali Khan said a comprehensive security plan was crucial to maintain law and order on the eve of Eid and during Eid days.
The meeting decided that around 1,700 police officials would be deployed outside mosques and other places where Eid prayers would be offered.
