SWABI: A gang of three robbers looted 10-tola gold jewellery and cash at gunpoint when they forced their way into a house at the time of sehri here on Wednesday, said police and members of the victim family.

The incident took place in the Khararay area of Topi tehsil when armed robbers wearing masks took the entire family hostage.

Registering an FIR in Topi city police station, Gulnar Begum said that the robbers knocked on the door of their room at 3am and soon as she opened the door, three robbers quickly entered the room and made them hostage.

She said the robbers took away a necklace, two bracelets, a ring and four pairs of earrings. They also snatched Rs100,000 cash and three mobile phones, she added.
