ISLAMABAD: Veteran tennis duo, Aisam ul Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan cruised past Heera Ashiq and Hamza Roman 6-2, 6-2 to secure a spot in the men’s doubles final of the Serena Masters Cup here at the PTF tennis Complex on Wednesday.

The seasoned pair will now face Shahzad Khan and Muhammad Abid in the final, who beat Barkatullah and Yousaf Khalil 6-4, 6-4 in the second semi-final.

In the men’s singles semifinals, Aqeel Khan defeated Muhammad Abid 7-5, 6-3, while Barkatullah overcame Yousaf Khalil in a thrilling three-set match, 6-1, 2-6, 7-6(3).

Women’s singles semifinals saw Sheeza Sajid defeating Mahrukh Sajid 7-6(5), 6-3 while Ushna Suhail outclassed Meheq Khokhar 6-0, 6-1.
