LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari says the party needs fresh blood and senior party members should guide the younger generation.

He was talking to the son of senior party leader Naveed Chaudhry here on Wednesday.

“We want a policy where both experienced leaders and new talent coexist in the party,” Bilawal Bhutto was quoted as saying to the visitor.

The PPP chairman further said that Pakistan has a large youth population, and “we want to attract young people towards the PPP. “Educated individuals should join the party and play an active role.”

Peoples Lawyers Forum Punjab President Raheel Kamran Cheema, Information Secretary Azeem Hafeez and Qasim Ghuman Advocate also called on the party chairman and discussed the strategy for the upcoming Punjab Bar Council elections. Decisions were also taken regarding the meetings of PLF divisions with the party leadership.

PPP District Okara President Chaudhry Sajjad-ul-Hassan along with Information Secretary Malik Shahid Saleem Noonari and Sardar Muhammad Asif Jatt also called on him and briefed him on the political situation in the district.

PPP Lahore General Secretary Rana Jamil Manj and former MPA Sania Kamran also met separately with the party chairman and discussed the political situation in the city and issues related to women’s development.
