DERA GHAZI KHAN: Lawyers staged a protest on Wednesday outside the deputy commissioner’s office, sealing the main gate in opposition to the administration’s decision to bar them from parking their vehicles inside the premises.

The lawyers condemned the move as unjust and demanded that parking facilities be restored for them, warning that their protest would continue until their demands were met. They argued that as professionals frequently visiting courts and government offices, the lack of parking space caused them a great deal of inconvenience and hindered their work.

On the other hand, the district administration defended its decision, citing limited parking space at the DC office and the need to accommodate the general public and other officials. They stated that the office receives a large number of citizens and government employees daily, due to this reason it is necessary to regulate parking.

The protesting lawyers have vowed to continue their demonstration until their demands are addressed. Negotiations between the administration and the lawyers are ongoing, but no resolution has been reached so far.
