ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) on Thursday signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for “educational reform, vocational training and environmental conservation.”
The signing ceremony, attended by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Federal Secretary Education Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, marks the beginning of comprehensive programmes to modernise education, enhance vocational training, and promote environmental sustainability in the federal capital,” says a press release issued by CDA.
It said that one agreement pertains to the complete modernisation of CDA Model School. The upgrade will introduce advanced technological resources including an IT Park, Robotics Lab, AI Room and Google Classroom integration, etc,. “A dedicated Cultural Room will be established to promote artistic and heritage education,” read the press release.
Another MoU promotes a vocational training initiative targeting youth aged 18-45 from communities adjacent to Margalla Hills National Park. The programme will offer professional training in stitching, electrical work, plumbing, and IT skills through specialized e-Rozgar laboratories. CDA will actively facilitate job placements for programme graduates, creating direct pathways to employment for participants.
