TOBA TEK SINGH: Robbers shot dead two persons over resistance in separate incidents at Faisalabad on Thursday.

Reports said a crushed stone trader Amer Munir was on way on his motorcycle to Dhudhiwala locality. When he reached near Madinaabad area, four bandits riding on two motorcycles intercepted him on gunpoint and attempted to snatch cash and valuables but he offered resistance over which they fired on him as a result he was critically injured and died instantly.

Saddar police have shifted his body to Allied hospital for autopsy.

In Sahianwala area of Chak Jhumra tehsel, a villager, Imran Sajid, was going from Salarwala locality to a village on foot when dacoits attempted to loot him but he resisted over which they shot him dead on the spot.

FIRE: A fire broke out on vast area of government forest located near Shorkot Cantonment.

A Rescue 1122 official said firefighters were struggling to control the fire. He said so far reason behind the fire could not be ascertained. Three weeks back, a fire had erupted in the same forest, reducing trees to ashes.
