LAKKI MARWAT: A teenager was killed and two others were injured when a truck fell into a ravine in Karak district on Saturday.

A Rescue 1122 official said that the accident occurred near Speena Mor on the busy Indus Highway due to brake failure. He said that the truck was loaded with potato sacks.

“Medical and disaster teams were sent to the venue when the control room received information about the accident,” he said.

The official said that two injured, identified as Farzan, 27, and Aziz, 25, were provided with medical assistance and then transported to the District Headquarters Hospital.

He said another injured, identified as Aryan, 19, had been stuck in the vehicle and later his body was retrieved by the disaster team after a hectic effort,” he said.

The rescue official said that the deceased and the injured belonged to the Mianwali district of Punjab.
