KASUR: Two women died by suicide on Wednesday in separate incidents.

In the first incident, a woman jumped from a water tank near the Khwaja Sahib graveyard. The tank stands over 100 feet above the ground.

According to police, the deceased was homeless and a drug addict who lived in the graveyard. The body was shifted to DHQ Hospital for an autopsy, and police are investigating the matter.

In another case, 17-year-old Sadia Bibi consumed poisonous pills over a domestic dispute in Bhamba Khurd in the jurisdiction of Kot Radha Kishan police. Police shifted the body to Kot Radha Kishan THQ Hospital and launched an investigation.

SHOT: A transgender person was shot and injured on Wednesday in Qadirabad locality. The suspects allegedly attacked Abid, 35, alias Preeti, after the latter refused to engage in a relationship. The assailant fled the scene, while the injured was taken to DHQ Hospital.

Also, an unidentified suspect shot dead a married woman inside her house in Roshan Bheela village in the Sheikhum police limits. The attacker stormed into the residence of Gulzar Bibi, 32, and opened fire, killing her. The body was shifted to DHQ Hospital, and police are probing the case.
