TOBA TEK SINGH: A man and his mother died after their motorcycle was run over by a speeding pick-up van on Kamalia-Chichawatni Road near Chadhar Wali police post on Thursday.

As per Rescue 1122, Aslam (35) and his mother Sakina Bibi (60), belonging to Gaggo Mandi, Burewala, were on their way to Kamalia, when the accident occurred.

The mother and son were seriously injured and shifted to Kamalia THQ Hospital, where they succumbed to their wounds.

INJURED: At least 26 persons were injured when a passenger van overturned after colliding with a car near Chak 412-JB, Tandlianwala, on Faisalabad-Okara Road.

As per Rescue 1122, the passenger van was going to Okara from Faisalabad when the collision occurred. As a result, 26 persons traveling by van and car were injured.

The injured were shifted to Tandlianwala THQ Hospital.

BOY DIES: A boy died after his cousin allegedly shot him accidentally with a pistol atChak 391 JB, Kainthan, on Thursday.

Rescue 1122 officials says that a security guard of a company put his loaded pistol in a room of his house after returning from duty.

They say that the guard’s nephew picked the pistol and accidentally pulled its trigger.

As a result, a bullet hit his cousin, Ayan Shahbaz (8), who died instantly.

LAWYER DIES: A senior lawyer died after his jeep overturned near Faisalabad on Thursday.

The lawyer, Sardar Junaid Amjad Dogar of Faisalabad, was on way to Chak Sarlian when the accident occurred.

He the only son of late Prof Amjad Dogar, ex-head of English department at the Government Degree College Samanabad, Faisalabad, and Ms Bilqees Amjad Dogar, a former vice principal of the Government Women’s Degree College, Eidgah Road, Faisalabad.
