TAXILA: Three people died and one was injured in two separate accidents in Attock district on Thursday.
In the first incident, two teenage boys were killed, and their friend critically injured when their motorcycles collided near Tobba village in Jand.
According to eyewitnesses, the boys were racing and collided while taking a sharp turn.
The deceased were identified as Afaq and Kamran.
The injured friend was shifted to a hospital in Rawalpindi.
In another incident, a 35-year-old man, Mohammad Ansar, was shot dead by unknown assailants in Mullah Mansar village. Police registered two separate cases and launched an investigation.
Rescue 1122 handles 372 emergencies
During the Eid Ul Fitr holidays, Rescue 1122 responded to 372 emergencies in Attock district.
The district emergency services received 2,015 calls over three days: 249 medical emergencies, 66 road accidents, 17 fire incidents, four fights, one drowning incident and 28 other emergencies
Rescue 1122 provided hospital referral services, shifting 27 patients to Rawalpindi hospitals after first aid.
Rescue teams patrolled the Indus River, while ambulances and fire-fighting bikes monitored Eidgahs and other areas for immediate assistance.
District Emergency Officer Engineer Ali Hussain ensured Rescue 1122’s preparedness to handle emergency situations during Eid.
