PESHAWAR: The annual elections of Peshawar High Court Bar Association will be held on April 26 for which nomination papers could be filed by the candidates till April 12.

According to a schedule released by the PHCBA election commissioner Fazal Ilahi Khan, scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on April 14, whereas final list of contesting candidates will be released on April 17. The final voter list will be issued on April 21.

Polling stations for the polls will be set up in Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Chota Lahor, Kohat and Takht Bhai.

The election commissioner has also appointed three members of the commission for the polls including Mohammad Usman Khan Tarlandi, Aurangzeb Khan and Mohammad Iqbal Khan.

The election commissioner has also asked the candidates to deposit the required fee prescribed for each of the posts.

The amount prescribed for different posts include: Rs30,000 for the post of president, Rs25,000 for vice president and general secretary, Rs15,000 for joint secretary, library secretary, treasurer and press secretary, and Rs10,000 for executive member.

Members have been asked to clear their dues till April 15, failing which their names would not be included in the voter list.
