22 POs held in Sahiwal

SAHIWAL, April 30: The local police claimed to have arrested 22 proclaimed offenders and 13 court absconders during a general hold-up on Saturday night. Police said that six of the arrested POs were involved in crimes of heinous nature. Besides, the police also claimed that they had recovered Illicit arms from the possession of four people.

Police have registered 19 cases against the arrested accused.

The general hold-up was carried out on the orders of Multan range DIG Muhammad Azam Joiya.

TWO KILLED: Two students were killed in road accidents in different parts of the district on Sunday.

A speeding motorcycle (SLN-407) driven by Shahzad hit a divider. He died on the spot.

On Noorshah-Faisalabad Road, the speeding motorcycle (OXA-5214) of Sarfraz Ahmed slipped while taking a sharp turn. He fell on the road and died instantly.

Police have registered separate cases.
