ISLAMABAD: Sixteen-year-old Mahrose, who developed the first-ever calculator in Sindhi language, on Friday said that with the support of the government this calculator could be commercialised.
Mahrose Zafran, a student of Rehan Allahwala School Karachi, accompanied by the school principal of Islamabad branch, Asima Shaheen, while addressing a press conference at the National Press Club, said that she had developed a calculator in just three days with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).
She said women and girls in the country were very intelligent. However, she said a considerable portion of the population of Sindh is illiterate and they understand Sindhi language only.
Keeping this in view, Mahrose said she had developed a calculator to bring positive change in the life of Sindi people, adding that Sindhi-speaking business community can get benefit from this machine in their daily task.
She said that if the government helped her, then this calculator can be commercialised. She said that skill as well as technical and vocational education is imperative for the youth for to earn.
Mahrose, who had won awards at public speaking, urged the youth not to waste their time and start learning skills to earn, rather than waiting solely for a degree.
During the press conference, the founder of School Rehan Allahwala shed light on the use of ChatGPT and video link.
