LAHORE: The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) on Thursday relaxed the administrative departments to send requisitions for vacancies any time of the year.

The full commission meeting was held at the PPSC Headquarters and chaired by its chairman retired Lt-Gen Abdul Aziz. PPSC Secretary Afzal Ahmad along with all the members and other officials was also present.

Several decisions were made during the meeting, including approval of changes in the syllabus for the posts of Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Lady Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Tehsildar, and Naib Tehsildar.

According to the details, prior to the change, candidates were required to take a paper in English Essay and Composition. This has now been modified, and the candidates will only be required to take an exam in English Essay. No other changes have been made to the syllabus.

Another significant amendment was made to the PPSC Regulations during the full commission meeting. The previously fixed timeframe for administrative departments to send requisitions has been abolished. Earlier, administrative departments were not allowed to send requisitions to PPSC from Jan 1 to June 30. With this new change, departments can now submit requisitions for vacancies to the Punjab Public Service Commission at any time throughout the year.
