HYDERABAD, June 9: The Sindh University has decided to conduct mid-term tests to promote the culture of study among students. The university will also give some incentives to students who regularly attend classes to discourage some students’ predilection for self-leave.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Sindh University held here on Friday.
Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui presided over the meeting.
Deans of various faculties, directors of graduate studies, admission, finance department and sectional heads were present on the occasion.
The meeting discussed admission schedule for bachelors and masters programmes for 2007-session and decided to set up information counters in each district.
Considering difficulties being faced by students and parents of remote areas and requests from different quarters to the university, it was decided that admission forms for bachelors and masters programmes from session 2007 would be made available at branches of the Habib Bank in each district of Sindh.
