SWABI, June 21: Four people, including two passersby and a child, were killed in a firing incident in Dagai village near here on Wednesday. Anwar Ali and his brother Aman Khan wanted to hire a horse-cart to go to Dagai village from Shewa Adda. When they reached the stand, their opponents opened fire on them.

As a result, Mr Ali, two passersby, Badrul Hadi and Saidul Amin, and a child, Mohammad Tariq, were killed. The horse of the cart they wanted to hire was also killed.

Lodging an FIR with the Kalu Khan police, Mr Ali’s father stated that his family had an old dispute with the family of Sardar Hussain and Misal Khan, and accused them of killing his son.

PROTEST: The residents of Ismalia blocked Swabi-Mardan road for about three hours in protest against unscheduled power loadshedding on Wednesday.

They were raising slogans against the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company and demanding an end to the loadshedding.

The people ended the blockade when they were assured by the Pesco officials that there would be no more loadshedding in future.

However, police registered an FIR against a dozen protesters.
