KARACHI, July 4: Defending champions Pakistan have been placed as second seeds behind Egypt in interim seedings, announced by the World Squash Federation on Tuesday, for men's 14th World Junior Team squash championship.
Egypt and Pakistan head 19 nations competing in the championship which takes place in Palmerston North, New Zealand from July 23 to 28 following the world individual championship at the same place on 16th July.
Egypt, led by the current World Junior Champion Ramy Ashour, have finished as runners-up in all but one of the events since 1994 when they won the title in New Zealand.
Pakistan are looking for their third title in a row since 2002 while third seeds England, championed four times since 1990, will be hoping to improve their standing.—PPI
