Women’s basketball from 23rd

KARACHI, July 4: The postponed National women’s basketball championship will be held at the National Sports Training and Coaching Centre (NSTCC) from July 23 to 27. Karachi City District Amateur Basketball Association (KCDABBA) are playing host to the competition in collaboration with Jinnah University College.

Pakistan Amateur Basketball Federation (PABBF) adhoc committee has accorded necessary permission to the organisers for staging the event.

Secretary KCDABBA Abdul Nasir said Tuesday that invitations had already been extended to all affiliated units of the PABBF, including four provinces and Fata.

The official said hosts Sindh and Punjab would field two teams apiece. Wapda are the reigning champions.

Meanwhile, three-day trials to select two Sindh teams will commence at the Sir Syed college court from July 6.

The interested players have been asked to report to Ms Gul Rukh on the given date at 11.00am.
