SUKKUR, July 5: Power outages for long hours have added to the misery of people already suffering from a severe heatwave.

With the advent of summer, the Hesco Sukkur has failed to supply uninterrupted power to people.

When this reporter contacted Hesco Sukkur XEN Operation Asad Shaikh, he said load-shedding had been started to avoid damage to transformers installed at grid stations. He said load-shedding at the Tower Feeder of Arain grid station would be of 40 minutes after every one and a half hour. This routine would continue till August 15, he added.

He said the load of the city grid station was being shifted to the Site grid station to help provide relief to people.
