THATTA: Picnickers drown

THATTA, July 16: Two picnickers from Karachi drowned in the KDA Nali and Keenjhar lake on Sunday. Eyewitnesses said that 26-year-old Ahmed Nadeem from Model Town Karachi lost balance on the slippery bank and drowned in the KDA Nali.

In the other incident, 22-year-old Zahid Aziz of SITE, Karachi, was swimming in Keenjhar lake with his friends when his legs got entangled in underwater weeds and he drowned trying to free himself.

Local divers fished out the bodies which were then sent to Karachi.
