The accused were arrested by police.

Ahsan Ali told police that he got information that his sister was sitting with Shadi Khan Rind in his office and when he along with his relative Ghulam Nabi reached there they saw a man sitting outside the office.

He said that he attacked the man with axe and injured him.

He said that the man jumped into the canal.

He said that he went inside the office and killed his sister while the alleged karo, Shadi Khan, escaped.

Later, Zahid’s body was recovered from the canal.

PROTEST: Hundreds of residents of Taj colony, including women and children, blocked the Nawabshah-Daur road on Monday in protest against shortage of drinking water.

The protesters raised slogans against the Nawabshah municipal administration for its failure to supply drinking water.

They said that they were passing a miserable life in hot weather as there was no water for the last many days.

They said that the taluka municipal administration was not doing anything in this regard even after many complaints were made to officials concerned.

They said that the TMA was selling water to ice factories and people were suffering.

They said that earlier they were being supplied very stinky water as lines of the drainage network were mixed with water.

They demanded that District Nazim Faryal Talpur should intervene and solve the problem by supplying them clean drinking water.
