HYDERABAD, July 18: The Awami Tehrik has decided to hold peaceful demonstrations on July 22, 23 and 24 in protest against what it called anti-Sindh and anti-people policies of the federal government.

The decision in this connection was taken at a meeting of the standing committee of the party held in Qasimabad on Tuesday.

Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bux Palijo presided over the meeting. The meeting condemned target killings of political and religious leaders in Karachi and rampant lawlessness in the entire province.

It said that innocent people were being killed in urban and rural areas by criminals with complete impunity and under the patronage of high government functionaries.
