HANGU: Crime rate declines in Hangu

HANGU, Feb 9: Crime rate has come down in volatile Hangu district after the setting up of district government.

Residents of the area Malik Zafar Ali, Safdar Zaman, Mohammad Jamil and Malik Jehanzeb Orakzai have hailed the efforts made by District Nazim. They have said that Hangu is the hub of activities of the criminal elements and considerable large number of sophisticated weapons could be found in each and every house of the district.

They have said people of the area have dumped these arms as Hangu has all along prone to sectarian violence.

They said since the installation of district government, considerable decrease has been recorded in almost all crimes.

They said that earlier kidnapping for ransom had become routine affairs but the efforts made by District Nazim has brought these crimes down.

They also lauded the services of police.—NNI
