KARACHI, July 24: Defending champions Pakistan crushed Ireland and Zimbabwe on the second day of the World Junior Team squash championship at Palmerston North, New Zealand on Monday.

According to information received here, second seed Pakistan have cruised into last-eight stage of the championship.

They outclassed Ireland 3-0 in the morning session and inflicted the similar defeat to Zimbabwe in the evening.

Pakistan will meet arch-rivals India on Tuesday.

Top seed Egypt was another team that won two matches on the second day.

Hong Kong, South Africa, England, Switzerland, Malaysia, Canada, Netherlands and India also won their respective pool matches.
